Developing Google doc, Google Drawing, and layout skills in prep for Informative Writing Unit

In the previous two years, students have used 'Pages' for their Informative Writing unit. This year I suggested to the grade 5 team that we try using Google docs instead.
Here are the reasons for change:

• Student problems with Pages;
• Change in Pages program with upgrade;
• Improve Google skills;
• Ability to access Google from home computers;
• Prepare for potential move to Chrome Books.
