All of grade four's field trips are in second semester, including trips to an aquarium, Sungei Buloh, and Bukit Timah. Each of those trips offers many useful photo opportunities now that students have their own iPads in rugged military drop cases.
To help classes prepare for this, I developed a series of photography lessons. Ideally, the skills would be spread across two or three different lessons to give students time to absorb and gain sufficient practice with the skills. However, Ian Woodfield's class is heading off on a trip tomorrow, so today we book a double session and covered all of the tips.
We used this presentation to help with the lesson.
Usually, I only have time to teach the lesson. This time, Ian built in time for them to solidify their learning by writing a blog post. Most have not yet finished their posts. Here are a few who have finished.
